Dr Jilani Latona

MBChB, FRACP
Cardiologist

Dr Jilani Latona is a cardiologist with subspecialisation in echocardiography. His main areas of interest in general cardiology includes preventive cardiology, management of chest pain, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, heart failure and valvular heart disease.

Dr Latona obtained his medical degree in Cape Town, South Africa where he also worked as an intern. After spending one year in New Zealand, he relocated to Brisbane where he completed his basic physician training at The Prince Charles Hospital. He undertook his advanced training in cardiology at the Gold Coast University Hospital and Prince Charles Hospital and obtained his fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2015. He then went on to complete his fellowship in advanced echocardiography at The Prince Charles Hospital where he trained in multimodality transthoracic echocardiography, transoesophageal echocardiography and stress echocardiography.

During his training, he published his research both nationally and internationally.

Dr Reza Reyaldeen

MBBS, FRACP
Cardiologist

Dr Reza Reyaldeen is a general cardiologist and cardiovascular imaging specialist. He undertook his advanced training in cardiology as well as an echocardiography fellowship at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. He went on to further sub-specialise with a two year Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic, USA. He has advanced credentialing and the highest level of training in all forms of echocardiography, cardiac CT and MRI.

Dr Reyaldeen has staff appointments within Metro South, at the Princess Alexandra and Logan Hospitals. As a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland, Dr Reyaldeen is committed to medical education and has a keen interest in research having published extensively in several aspects of cardiology and cardiac imaging. His main areas of interest include general and preventative cardiology, chest pain assessment and coronary artery disease, heart failure/cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, and valvular heart disease. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive and holistic patient care and likes to remain up to date with the latest advancements in cardiovascular medicine.

Dr Irshad Suffee

BMedSc (Hons), MBBS, FRACP
General Physician

Dr. Irshad Suffee is a specialist physician in acute care and general medicine. He has an interest in all areas of general medicine specifically management of acute multisystem disorders, diagnostic workups of undifferentiated symptoms, stroke, hypertension as well as perioperative medicine.

Dr. Suffee received his medical degree from the University of Queensland and trained all across Southeast Queensland. He completed most of his basic physician training at the Prince Charles Hospital. He went on to complete his 3-year advanced training at the Royal Brisbane Women Hospital and Logan Hospital. He trained across all fields of internal and perioperative medicine.

He was extensively involved in education for junior doctors and medical students during that time and is a lecturer for the Griffith University.  He also volunteers time to be a guest lecturer for overseas institutions. He has publications across different fields of medicine.

Dr Faseeha Peer

BPharm, MBBS (Hons), FRACP
Endocrinologist

Dr Faseeha Peer completed her medical degree at the Australian National University, graduating with Honours. She completed her Basic Physician Training at Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) and undertook her Specialist training in Endocrinology at the PA, Mater and Cairns Hospitals.

She is experienced in the management of a range of endocrine disorders, with special interests in diabetes (including pump therapy), obesity, thyroid dysfunction, calcium disorders, osteoporosis, testosterone deficiency and PCOS.  She is deeply committed to empowering her patients by providing them with comprehensive support and equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to manage their conditions effectively. She practices evidence based medicine, and enjoys keeping up-to-date with the latest developments.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Peer is dedicated to medical education and training. She is an Associate Lecturer for the University of Queensland and actively involved in mentoring medical students and junior doctors.  Furthermore, she holds a key position within the Physician Training Unit at the PA Hospital and is the Southside Network Rotation Coordinator for Physician Training, demonstrating her commitment to shaping the future of healthcare professionals.

Dr Peer is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a member of the Endocrine Society of Australia, the Australian Diabetes Society and the US Endocrine Society.

Dr Peer is available for telehealth consultations and is easily accessible for enquiries and advice regarding patient care.

Dr Yanez Peerbaccus

MBChB, FRACP
Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist and Internal Medicine

Dr Yanez Peerbaccus is a dual-trained gastroenterologist and internal medicine specialist. After graduating from the University of Cape Town-South Africa in 2005, he moved to New Zealand where he completed his advanced training in Auckland and was awarded the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2018.

Dr. Peerbaccus has received extensive training in general gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease, liver diseases, motility disorders and functional disorders. He relocated to Brisbane in 2020 and consults privately where he provides a wide range of services in general gastroenterology, hepathology, and endoscopic procedures.

His interests include Reflux disease, dyspepsia, dysphagia, Microscopic colitis, inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease, irritable bowel syndrome, other functional disorders, liver disorders, bowel cancer screening, polypectomy, haemorrhoid banding, oesophageal dilatation for dysphagia and capsule endoscopy. 

Dr. Peerbaccus also performs endoscopically placed gastric balloon for weight loss, including its patient care package.

His commitment to the field is also evident through his contributions to gastroenterology conferences, where he has shared his research and insights.

Fathima Abdoola

Cultural Dietitian and Nutritionist

Fathima Abdoola is a Cultural Dietitian and Nutritionist. She has over 12 years’ experience in the industry working both locally and internationally, including eight years based in Zambia where she immersed herself in African culture, diet, and lifestyle, gaining invaluable insights. She has a wide range of experience within the nutrition sector including clinical nutrition lecturer, corporate wellness driver, clinical mentor and now focuses on her online presence Eat Smart Nutrition & Dietetics providing private services to women worldwide. She has specialised in weight loss and lifestyle disease management and prides herself on providing culturally sensitive interventions and utilising a holistic approach towards nutrition that leaves no stone unturned.

Colleen Johnstone

Cardiac Sonographer

Colleen began working in cardiac investigations in 2010 in Bundaberg and completed her training in 2012. Since then, she has been providing multiple types of echo services to many sites across Brisbane Metro and regional areas. She has been an integral part of our echo service from the beginning and is a valued team member.
